Making a concise analysis of Nepal’s foreign policy, this book delves into the complex geopolitical context of a country situated between the two big Asian powers, China and India. How Nepal calibrated its policy in the past without being dragged into the vortex of regional and international politics and how the emerging international disorder may make the nation more vulnerable in the future, are comprehensively discussed in this book.

Written against the backdrop of deteriorating international systems and the shrinking foreign policy autonomy of a country like Nepal, this book has tried to link its historical trajectory with the role it needs to play today. Aided by objectivity and a realistic approach to foreign policy, this book will be immensely beneficial for policymakers, students and general readers.
