Arup K. Chatterjee

Arup K. Chatterjee is an author, cultural historian, poet and professor at O.P. Jindal Global University. His published books include The Great Indian Railways, Indians in London: From the Birth of the East India Company to Independent India and Adam’s Bridge. For over two decades, his research and writings have spanned themes of Indian history, the history of colonialism, economic history, literary criticism and Vedanta. In 2019, Chatterjee coined the term ‘gastromythology’ in the realm of food and culture studies.
