Rashmi Samant

Rashmi Samant is an author, public intellectual, and youth leader whose work explores civilisation, public policy, and contemporary Bharat. A University of Oxford graduate, she made history as the first Bharatiya woman elected as President of the Oxford University Students Union. A national television panellist, columnist, and human rights advocate, she has collaborated with global think tanks, media organisations, and governments, notably presenting a Human Rights Report at the House of Commons in the British Parliament. She has served as a UN Envoy for Women (2026), and is a Fellow of the American Jewish Committee, Eastern Economic Forum’s Young Generation Program, and Oxford Character Program. She is the Executive Director of the Punarnava Group and Plava Foundation. A triple bestselling author, her books include A Hindu in Oxford, Ramjanmabhoomi, and Hanuman Chalisa, published by Wonder House. Hailing from Udupi, Karnataka, she continues to contribute to international policy discourse and Bharatiya civilisational thought. In 2026, at 27, she became the youngest recipient of the Nada Prabhu Kempegowda Award, conferred by the Honourable Vice President of India.
