Santhosh Jayaram

Santhosh Jayaram is a self-proclaimed sustainability pollinator and lifelong learner. He has worked at the intersection of sustainability, leadership, education, and governance, purposefully moving between industry, academia, and policy spaces to cross-pollinate ideas that shape responsible decision-making. He has worked in leadership positions in consulting, industry, academia, and as an advisor to companies, public institutions, and non-profits. 

A doctoral scholar and adjunct professor with a background spanning industry and consulting, he offers the rare vantage point of both a practitioner and an academic. His work is defined by transitions: from industry to consulting, from consulting to academia. It is this lived movement between these domains that informs his central preoccupation with unlearning and adaptability in a rapidly changing world. 

He is a regular speaker and writer, known for challenging comfortable narratives around sustainability, leadership, and performance. Operating from the Zone of Incompetence: Why Not-Knowing Is the New Intelligence is his first book, delving into how intellectual curiosity, humility to remain unfinished and adaptable to evolve have become the most critical human capabilities in an age defined by acceleration, automation, and uncertainty.
